Today I spent the whole day sewing. My car was at the mechanics for the last two days and I was forced to stay at home. It was so much fun. I turned this very old cross-stitch that I did many, many years ago.......
...into this little cushion for our daughters room.
I repurposed this old pin cushion which my mother gave me last week.....
...into this! I sanded it and repainted it and made up this small cross-stich cushion to fit inside.

This cross-stitch had been previously stitched and framed for my first baby many years ago by my cousin and fellow cross-stitcher. It had yellowed over time in the small frame but after removing it and bleaching it, it came back lovely and white again so I sewed it up into this denim cushion and added the vintage wooden buttons that came from my parents sewing stash.
I made this little bag when we moved into our first home many years ago. I refilled it today.

Needlebook Design: My Own
This little "needles and pins" design I stitched a few months ago. I fell in love with it and today I sewed it up into a needle book with a pocket inside for my embroidery scissors as well.
So today was a day of "Little Finishes" and tomorrow I am off to Spotlight to buy some fabric for more little finishes. I have so many little old cross-stitches packed away just waiting to be reinvented.
